Pokemon League - Weekly

Our weekly Pokemon events are great for beginners and players of all ages. Entry is by booster purchase. We also have beginner decks and many other Pokemon TCG items for sale. If you're interested in Pokemon and not sure where to start this is a great way to meet other players and learn the game, or if you’re already an experienced player why not bring a friend to join in the fun.

These are sanctioned events and standard rules do apply, however rule enforcement is typically more casual than tournament events. Additional information regarding rules and more can be found online at the link below. Casual League days are also available for small groups (call the store to book).

August League Cup 2018

Sunday: 25th August 2018

Time: 9:30am to 10:15am Registration  10:30 start

Open to all players and is the current format standard Xy Breakthrough to Current with Promos Black Star XY 67and higher. Also SM1 and Higher, also you can use cards from the following sets, Generations, XY Trainer kit Pikachu Libre and Suicune, Sun and Moon Trainer kit Lycanroc and Alolan Raichu. Mcdonalds Collection 2016 and new expansions on the 3rd friday of the month they are released.

Decklist a must and must be handed in before the tournament starts.

Open to all Players, Juniors, Seniors and Masters NEW and EXPERIENCED

Cost: $10:00 with everyone getting at least 1 Booster for prize support.

Pokémon  Video Game Tournament 2019 Season

Pokemon VGC 19 is going to be a legendary year! Legendary Pokemon are going to be playable again and it all starts now! Get training and see you at Fast Break where the action is going to be big.

Welcome everyone to a new season of Pokémon DS Tournaments. This is a great chance to put all that Pokémon training to work, so bring in your DS and get your best line up ready for battle! This is the Video Game 2019 Season Series. Time to bring some fun into Pokemon Video Game. Hanging out with the local community who enjoys some great laughs. Or you may get the Chance to get points towards the World Championships.

Brisbane VGC regional has been announced for December 1-2 and this event gives players a chance to get valuable points for the world championships in Washington DC and the practice to test your teams for the big event!

Event open to all players that have Pokémon Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon

The tournament will have a number of Swiss round matches and leads to a final single elimination top cut to determine the champion. The amount of swiss rounds will be determined by the number of players in the event and all rounds will be best of 3 games. So the more players the better the longer the tournament will be. Depending on the number of entries. Players may get split into age divisions and some of the divisions may merge together. Divisions are determined as follows:

Junior Division Players born in 2008 or later
Senior Division Players born in, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007
Masters Players born 2003 or earlier.

Basic Rules:
All tournaments that are part of the 2019 Video Game Championships will include the folling rules:

All Battles will be Double Battles played in pokemon Ultra Sun and pokemon Ultra Moon.

All pokemon from National Pokedex No:001 through 807 are allowed, wth the following restrictions:

Mythical Pokemon and Ash-Greninja are not permitted.

Players may only include two of the folling Pokemon in thier teams. Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquazza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoeam, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma.

Pokemon must have the Alola symbol, showing they were caught in the Alola region.

Duplicate pokemon are not Allowed.

Duplicate held items are not allowed.

All Pokemon are set to Lv. 50, including Pokemon below Lv. 50.

Players will have 7 minutes of Your Time, up from 5 minutes in 2018.

During the Sun Series ( September 4, 2018 - January 7, 2019 ) these special rules added on.

Z-Crystals and Mega Stones are not permitted.

Blue Orb and red Orb items are not permitted.

Rayquaza may not know the move dragon Ascent.

This must be completed prior to competiting in the tournament . We can provide these if you cannot print this form. If you are using a Pokemon in a different form then you must write down which form you are using. For example Rotom Heat, Persian Alolan, Landorus Therian

It is required for you to save or bring your Pokémon Organised Play number with you because this is required to play any official Pokemon tournament. To find your Pokémon Organised Play number, it can be found by logging in or signing up to a Pokémon trainer club account on the official Pokémon Website http://www.pokemon.com/us/. Once you have logged in or signed up. Go to this page (https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-trainer-club/play-pokemon/events/), then your Pokémon Organised Play can be found there or you can create one from there.

Judge will be required for the day also this has been put up to be sanctioned and has been approved.

 After the event

Afterwards we encourage players to trade and play casually. Additionally Philip Nguyen, Australian representative in the 2015 Video Game World Championships will also be on hand to provide coaching and tips to all players.

This has been Sanctioned but needs to be approved, also Decklists must be handed in before the Tournaments beginning.
